Superb Painting started in 2000 as a small Melbourne painting company with a straightforward idea: homeowners deserve painters who do what they say, respect your home, and deliver a finish worth showing off.

How we work as a Melbourne painting company

Every job is priced after an on-site walk-through rather than over the phone, which is not how every Melbourne painting company operates. The two things that move a painting price most are the condition of the existing surfaces and the access the site needs, and neither can be judged from a photo. You get a written scope that names the products, the number of coats and what is excluded, so you can compare our quote against another one line for line.

Unlike a Melbourne painting company that subcontracts by the week, the same crew stays on a job from preparation through to the final coat. That is the practical reason the finish is consistent — the person who sanded and filled the wall is the person who topcoats it, so nothing is lost in a handover halfway through. It is also why we book work in sequence instead of running several sites at once.

What happens after the last coat

A job is not finished when the painting stops. Melbourne painters are judged on the last hour of a job as much as the first, and that is fair enough. We walk the work with you before the crew packs up, write down anything you want corrected, and come back to put it right. Small touch-ups are part of the price rather than a callback fee, and we leave labelled leftover paint so you can deal with a scuff yourself in two years without matching guesswork.

The paints we use carry their manufacturers’ own warranties and guarantees, subject to each brand’s terms. We carry $20 million public liability cover, and the certificate of currency can go out with the quote if you or your body corporate needs it on file.
