How Superb Painting collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: January 2026
This privacy policy explains how Superb Painting collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, and how you can access or correct the information we hold about you. It applies to our website, our quoting process and the painting work we carry out across Melbourne. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This privacy policy covers information collected through the quote form on this website, by phone, by email, by SMS and in person during an on-site measure. It also covers the limited technical information collected automatically when you browse the site. It does not cover third-party websites you may reach from links on our pages; those sites publish their own policies.
When you request a quote we generally collect your name, phone number, email address, the suburb and street address of the property, and a description of the work you want done. Many people also send photographs of the surfaces to be painted, which helps us quote accurately without a second visit.
During a job we may also record access arrangements such as gate codes, parking instructions, preferred working hours, and body corporate or building manager contacts for apartment work. Where you pay by bank transfer we hold the payment reference; we do not store credit card numbers on our systems.
We collect only what we need to quote, schedule and complete the work. You are not required to give us your full address to receive an indicative price, though we cannot give a firm quote without seeing the property.
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send quotes, schedule crews, order the correct paint products, invoice you, and handle any warranty claim later on. We may contact you after a job to confirm you were happy with the finish, and occasionally to let you know about a service you previously asked about.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent or trade contact lists. If you would rather not receive follow-up contact, tell us and we will note it against your record.
We share information only where it is needed to do the work. That includes the painters assigned to your job, our accounting and invoicing software, and, for apartment or commercial work, the building manager or facilities contact who has to approve site access. Where a job requires a specialist subcontractor, we share only the details necessary for them to attend and complete their part.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
This website uses cookies to keep the site working correctly and to understand which pages people find useful. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some conveniences may not.
Quote records, photographs and job notes are stored in password-protected business systems accessible only to staff who need them. Paper records taken on site are transferred to our systems and then destroyed. We keep records for seven years to meet tax and warranty obligations, after which they are deleted.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete your record where we are not legally required to keep it. Email info@superbpainting.com.au or use the contact page, and we will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first so we can investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We update this privacy policy when our practices change. The current version is always published here. To understand who we are and how we work, see our about page and our painting services.
